The victim was found deceased beneath a bridge in Ghazipur earlier this month. Concerns were raised over the alleged intimidation of the victim’s family, who are from a marginalised background, akin to the Hathras tragedy. Yadav aired these grievances via a social media post, sharing a video of the victim's father expressing fears of an altered narrative.

Despite these allegations, district authorities assured the victim's family of strict legal actions against the accused. The family's preference for minimal political interference did little to quell the debate, as BJP officials dismissed Yadav's statements as divisive tactics. Meanwhile, investigations continue amid calls for social justice and rule of law.
