Simulating Scenarios: Counter-Terrorism Drill Sharpens Airport Security

A comprehensive counter-terrorism exercise at Srinagar International Airport involved multiple agencies to test real-time responses. The CISF, in coordination with the CRPF, local police, and other stakeholders, conducted drills to evaluate protocols, identify gaps, and enhance response capabilities, reinforcing security readiness and inter-agency collaboration at the airport.

In a bid to bolster security preparedness, a multi-agency counter-terrorism exercise was carried out at Srinagar International Airport. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) led the simulation in collaboration with the CRPF, local police, and the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

This annual exercise focused on testing response protocols, utilizing real-time scenario simulations, and assessing reactions according to the Counter-Terrorist Contingency Plan. Key components like communication channels, evacuation protocols, and inter-agency coordination mechanisms were thoroughly evaluated.
