In a fervent appeal for justice, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday demanded a thorough CBI investigation into the tragic murder of a girl in the Bilgram area of Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
Visiting Garhi Rasulpur village, the former chief minister met with the family of the deceased, Shilpi Kushwaha, and issued Rs 5 lakh in financial aid, pledging a government job for a family member pending Samajwadi's return to power.
Highlighting the area's increasing violence against women, Yadav castigated the BJP-led administration for its negligence, arguing for strict punishment for the perpetrators and criticizing the police for inaction despite multiple pleas for help from the victim.
