Scholarship Scam in Uttar Pradesh: Principal Arrested, Manager on the Run
A principal in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for embezzling minority scholarships worth Rs 16.78 lakh. The funds were intended for 285 students at KPS Inter College. An inquiry revealed fictitious students, fake phone numbers, and no records of scholarship distribution. The college manager remains at large.

The principal of KPS Inter College in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district has been arrested over allegations of embezzling Rs 16.78 lakh from minority scholarships.
The funds, released in 2021-22 for 285 students, were discovered in a fraudulent scheme where supposed beneficiaries were fictitious.
With mobile numbers of the listed students found to be fake, the manager is still absconding as investigations continue.
