In a bid to address the sorrow of the recent Bargi Dam tragedy in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday met with the grieving families of the victims. The calamity resulted in nine deaths as a cruise boat overturned in the Narmada River.
During his emotional visit, CM Yadav reassured families of the state's unwavering support in their time of crisis. Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda and Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh, Yadav extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families.
Yadav announced the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the incident, emphasizing stern action for those found responsible. The government declared financial aid for the victims' families, alongside plans to introduce Standard Operating Procedures for better safety in adventure tourism.
