A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded in Pulwama as the body of a missing four-year-old boy, Mohammad Hanzala, was discovered near Shopian on Friday. The young boy had slipped into the Rambiara stream six days earlier, and despite an intensive rescue operation, hopes for his survival gradually diminished.
Officials reported that Hanzala, a resident of Tiken village, was overpowered by strong currents near Dubjan Bridge. The discovery of his body has left the local community in shock and grief, with expressions of sorrow coming from both Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
The Lieutenant Governor expressed deep condolences, hoping for strength for Hanzala's family in this time of immense loss. Similarly, Chief Minister Abdullah conveyed his shock and sympathy, joining many others in mourning the young boy's tragic passing.
