Tragic Incident at Police Outpost: Alleged Cover-Up Sparks Outcry

A young man, 23, allegedly took his own life at a local police outpost during questioning related to theft, sparking outrage. Family members allege police brutality, claiming he was beaten to death. Consequently, three officers have been suspended, and a formal inquiry is in progress.
According to officials, Rohit from Nirpura village was summoned to the Bhadal outpost under Doghat police precinct for questioning. During the process, he reportedly attempted suicide using a cloth to hang himself from the outpost's ceiling fan. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the hospital.
A magisterial inquiry has been launched, and a forensic team is analyzing evidence. The Superintendent of Police, Suraj Kumar Rai, stated that those responsible will face stringent legal repercussions. Law and order remain stable in the region, even as tensions linger over the tragic event.
