Babulal Marandi, the Leader of Opposition in the Jharkhand Assembly, has appealed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren for decisive action against middlemen in government processes. In a letter, Marandi expressed concern over these intermediaries intimidating officials to extract undue advantages, particularly in the Rural Works Department.
He highlighted that such interference paralyzes administrative efficiency and encourages corruption. Marandi urged the Chief Minister to foster a conducive environment for officials, warning that insecurity could lead to engineers boycotting work.
Marandi insisted on identifying and penalizing those disrupting the tender process to maintain impartiality and integrity in government work, ensuring officials discharge their duties without fear.
