In a high-profile case, four pro-Palestinian activists were found guilty of criminal damage for their involvement in a 2024 raid against Elbit Systems UK. The incident, orchestrated by the now-defunct group Palestine Action, targeted the Israeli defense firm's factory in Bristol, England.
The verdict was handed down at London's Woolwich Crown Court, where the convicted individuals, Charlotte Head, Samuel Corner, Leona Kamio, and Fatema Zainab Rajwani, contested the charges. Two of the original six defendants, Zoe Rogers and Jordan Devlin, were acquitted of all charges.
Among the convicted, Samuel Corner faced additional accusations, including striking a police officer with a sledgehammer. While Corner was convicted of inflicting grievous bodily harm, he was acquitted of causing such harm with intent. The case highlights ongoing tensions surrounding international defense and protest activities.
