High-Stakes Smuggling: Two Arrested in Saharanpur Drug Bust
Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, with 504 grams of heroin. Identified as Shamshad and Samaydin, the duo was caught during a police check. Both have criminal histories under the NDPS Act. They confessed to smuggling drugs to local truck drivers.

In a significant crackdown, police in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have arrested two alleged drug traffickers with a substantial haul of 504 grams of illegal heroin. The seized heroin is valued at approximately Rs 1 crore.
The accused, Shamshad and Samaydin, were apprehended during a meticulous checking drive under the jurisdiction of the Nakud police station. Both individuals have prior criminal records, particularly involving cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with Shamshad facing charges in nine separate cases.
According to police sources, the men admitted under interrogation to being involved in the smuggling of heroin. They reportedly distributed it to truck drivers along the Gangoh bypass and other consumers as instructed by their supplier. Authorities are continuing with legal proceedings.
