Punjab's Fight Against Drugs and Sacrilege: A New Dawn

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced an impending anti-drug law that entails confiscation of drug smugglers' properties. During his 'Shukrana Yatra', Mann accused past governments of aiding drug spread and vowed stricter penalties for sacrilege. He criticized the BJP's divisive tactics and pledged focus on Punjab's development.

In a significant announcement, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann declared that his government will implement a stringent anti-drug law targeting property confiscations from drug traffickers. During the second day of his 'Shukrana Yatra', Mann criticized previous administrations for allegedly supporting drug networks, thus intensifying the scourge in Punjab.

Mann reassured the public that the proposed law would eradicate issues of easy bails previously granted from police stations. He emphasized enhanced legal measures against sacrilege, with severe punishments including life imprisonment. In his address at Adampur and Kartarpur, Mann accused the Shiromani Akali Dal of obstructing the anti-sacrilege law, while praising the 'Sikh Sangat' for its support.

The Chief Minister also raised concerns over the BJP's alleged role in creating unrest in Punjab, citing recent twin blasts as part of political manoeuvres. Mann urged citizens to resist divisive politics, emphasizing a united focus on development, including world-class schools and hospitals, under his vision of a vibrant 'Rangla Punjab'.
