A senior Jammu and Kashmir Police official conducted an extensive inspection along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu district, reviewing the prevailing security scenario and assessing the effectiveness of the border security grid, officials said on Saturday. During the visit on Friday, Deputy Inspector General Shridhar Patil inspected far-flung border establishments, including border police posts at Malla Bharore, Jogwan and Pallanwala, they added. The inspection was aimed at evaluating operational preparedness, border domination measures and overall security arrangements in the sensitive border belt, the officials said. Patil was accompanied by Jammu Senior Superintendent of Police Joginder Singh and other senior officers during the inspection.
