The controversial corporatorship of AIMIM leader Matin Patel is hanging by a thread as allegations against him come to light. His connection to the Nashik TCS sexual harassment case accused, Nida Khan, has prompted authorities to investigate Patel's property for illegal construction.
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar's mayor, Sameer Rajurkar, announced that verification of Patel's documents is underway. If found guilty of any construction violations, Patel's role as a corporator is likely to be nullified under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act.
The opposition, however, led by AIMIM's Sameer Sajid, argues that the cancellation of Patel's post is beyond civic authority, suggesting a legal battle may ensue. As the investigation progresses, the political tension within the municipal body continues to escalate.
