New Leadership for Telangana Women's Commission

The Telangana government has appointed Gadwal Vijay Laxmi as the Chairperson of the state's Women's Commission. Other members include Kasoju Sankaramma and Chityala Swetha. The chairperson and members will serve a five-year term. Sankaramma's son, Srikantachary, became a martyr for the Telangana cause.

The Telangana government has announced the appointment of Gadwal Vijay Laxmi, a former Hyderabad Mayor, as the new Chairperson of the state's Women's Commission.

According to the Government Order, other commission members include Kasoju Sankaramma, Chityala Swetha, and Shashikala Yadava Reddy, among others.

Sankaramma, mother of Srikantachary who sacrificed his life for the Telangana movement in 2009, is among the notable appointees.
