This committee, chaired by Supreme Court Justice Aravind Kumar, aims to create a comprehensive modernization plan for courts across the country.
The announcement highlights the need for a government fund allocation between Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 crore. The 'Judicial Infrastructure Advisory Committee' includes notable members like Justices Debangsu Basak, Ashwani Kumar Mishra, and Somasekhar Sundaresan from various high courts and other key officials.
With a focus on key areas like reducing systemic constraints, enhancing facilities for litigants and lawyers, and integrating advanced technology, the committee's blueprint also emphasizes the 'e-courts' initiative to minimize digital divides and push for 21st-century court complexes across India.
