Stepparent Scandal: Stepdaughter Faces Harassment and Threats in Bhadohi

A man in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, is accused of sexually harassing his stepdaughter and threatening to kill her fiancé if her marriage isn't cancelled. A shocking case has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi district, where a man faces serious allegations for the harassment of his 22-year-old stepdaughter. He is accused of attempting to sexually assault her while threatening to murder her fiancé if the family didn't cancel her forthcoming marriage, according to local police.

The victim and her mother issued a formal complaint leading to the registration of the case at the Gopiganj Police Station, revealing long-standing obscene advances and attempted rape. The man opposed the planned marriage vehemently, issuing threats that endangered the safety of both the stepdaughter and her mother.

In addition to these allegations, the woman's in-laws are being scrutinized for dowry-related harassment. The police have taken action under various sections, including those of the Dowry Prohibition Act, against seven individuals, including the accused. Further investigations and legal proceedings are ongoing.
