Elon Musk's social media platform, X, has made a public commitment to tackle hate speech and terrorist content in the United Kingdom, according to Ofcom, the country's media regulator.
The platform aims to limit access to accounts linked to banned terrorist groups and promises to expedite the review of flagged content. X has pledged to review suspect material within an average of 24 hours and target 85% assessment within 48 hours.
Amid rising crimes against the Jewish community in the UK, X is set to engage with experts and submit quarterly performance reports. Ofcom is also investigating X's handling of its chatbot, Grok, amidst global and EU scrutiny for spreading illegal content.
