Taiwan has expressed gratitude for U.S. President Donald Trump's enduring support for maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, a spokesperson for President Lai Ching-te announced on Saturday.
In a statement, spokesperson Karen Kuo emphasized that arms sales between Taiwan and the United States represent a significant component of the U.S. security commitment to Taiwan, as delineated in the Taiwan Relations Act.
