The Nagaland Police, following court mandates under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, have incinerated illegal drugs worth more than Rs 36.57 crore at a designated dumping site.
The operation marked the culmination of legal procedures aimed at tackling illegal narcotics in the region. Officials revealed that the destruction included eight kilograms of heroin, 31 kilograms of opium, and 370 kilograms of ganja.
This significant crackdown underscores the state's ongoing commitment to eradicating illicit drug trafficking and ensures that the contraband substances are completely removed from circulation, reflecting a robust enforcement of narcotics control laws.
