In a major push towards strengthening India's indigenous educational technology sector and promoting experiential learning among students, the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, has signed an agreement with Bhopal-based M/s Ansoz Creations Pvt. Ltd. for the project titled "Commercialization of Electronics and IT based STEM Activity Kit."

The initiative marks an important step in advancing innovation-driven education and building a future-ready learning ecosystem aligned with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The project aims to establish an advanced manufacturing facility dedicated to producing a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-based educational kits designed specifically for children and youth in the 3–18 years age group.

The proposed STEM kits are intended to transform conventional classroom learning by promoting hands-on experimentation, practical problem-solving, analytical thinking and creativity among students. The initiative seeks to move beyond passive learning methods by integrating modern electronics, embedded systems, sensors and real-time feedback technologies into interactive educational tools.

According to officials, the educational kits will create immersive learning experiences that help students understand scientific concepts through direct engagement and experimentation. The project reflects the growing national emphasis on experiential education, innovation-led learning and skill development in emerging technologies.

A key feature of the initiative is the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and the Internet of Things (IoT) into the STEM learning ecosystem. The products are designed to combine physical educational tools with intelligent digital interfaces, allowing students to interact with scientific concepts in more engaging and dynamic ways.

The integrated learning solutions are expected to strengthen conceptual understanding and practical application of STEM subjects across school and college curricula. Experts believe that such interactive educational technologies can significantly improve student engagement and encourage early interest in science, engineering and innovation-related careers.

The project also addresses the increasing domestic demand for STEM kits, educational toys and electronic learning modules, a segment that has largely depended on imported products in recent years. By focusing on indigenous design, local manufacturing and domestic innovation, the initiative is expected to contribute to the development of a self-reliant educational technology ecosystem in India.

In addition to technological innovation, the project also emphasizes environmental sustainability. The company plans to incorporate eco-friendly and biodegradable materials in product surfaces, casings and packaging components in line with global sustainability standards. This approach aligns with India's broader commitment towards environmentally responsible manufacturing practices and green technology development.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary, Technology Development Board, Shri Rajesh Kumar Pathak, highlighted the importance of nurturing scientific curiosity and innovation among young learners. He said India's future innovation capacity would depend significantly on how effectively the country develops creativity, analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities among students from an early age.

He stated that TDB's support for indigenous STEM learning technologies reflects the Government's commitment to strengthening experiential education, deep-tech learning ecosystems and innovation-led skill development for the next generation.

Shri Pathak further noted that educational technologies integrating advanced electronics, digital tools and immersive learning mechanisms would play a crucial role in preparing students for the rapidly evolving global technological landscape and future employment opportunities.

The promoters of M/s Ansoz Creations Pvt. Ltd. expressed gratitude to the Technology Development Board for extending support to the project. They stated that the assistance would significantly strengthen the company's ability to scale up manufacturing of advanced STEM activity kits capable of enabling adaptive, personalized and experiential cognitive learning for different age groups.

The company further emphasized that the initiative would contribute meaningfully towards creating a future-ready learning ecosystem while nurturing innovation-driven talent across India. They added that accessible and engaging STEM education can play a transformative role in building a scientifically skilled and technologically empowered generation.

The collaboration between TDB and the startup reflects the Government of India's broader efforts to promote indigenous innovation, strengthen the startup ecosystem and encourage domestic manufacturing in high-growth technology sectors. It also complements national priorities under Digital India, Startup India, Skill India and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasize experiential learning, technological integration and innovation-oriented education reforms.

As India increasingly focuses on becoming a global knowledge and innovation hub, initiatives such as these are expected to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical technological application while fostering scientific temperament and entrepreneurial thinking among young learners.
