The SIT investigating the allegations of multiple murders, rapes and burials in Dharmasthala, and a team of forensic experts, on Thursday visited one of the locations where human skulls and skeletal remains were allegedly found earlier, officials said.
A three-member team of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Bengaluru reached the Banglegudde forest area along with SIT officials and conducted a detailed inspection at the spot, they said.
According to officials, the SIT probing the case had recovered human skeletal remains during a spot inspection at Banglegudde, a hillock located near Dharmasthala in Dakshina Kannada district, in September 2025.
Officials said the FSL experts were tasked with recreating the scene of the discovery, confirming the precise location where skeletal remains were found, and preparing a technical report for the SIT.
