In an unexpected turn of events, an ambulance in Kerala's central Thrissur district was found to be transporting more than 250 grams of MDMA, police revealed on Tuesday.
The Thrissur District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force, in coordination with the Highway Police, conducted the search following a confidential tip-off. The vehicle was intercepted around 6:30 am within Peechi station limits.
The illicit substance was cleverly concealed inside the ambulance's beacon light. Two suspects have been detained in connection with the incident. Authorities are now investigating the origins of the MDMA and potential involvement of others in the drug network.
