The Northern Army's senior commander, Pratik Sharma, recently conducted an evaluation of Operation Sheruwali, targeting suspected terrorists in the dense forests of Rajouri district located in Jammu and Kashmir. This undertaking, ongoing for five days, seeks terrorists thought to be entrenched in the dense vegetation.
Army special forces have intensified their efforts, launching fire assaults on suspected terrorist refuges within the Dorimal-Gambhir Moghla region. This area, notorious for its deep gorges and natural caves, necessitates detailed coordination. Integrated teams, comprising Army units and local agencies including the Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF, are executing extensive cordon-and-search operations, utilizing helicopters, drones, and sniffer dogs for support.
Amid these efforts, Northern Command praised the dedication of the troops and emphasized the need for precision and coordination among all involved entities. Critical to these operations are the relentless searches in challenging terrains, supported by robust inter-agency cooperation. The operation has reportedly identified three Pakistani terrorists, including a commander, as prime targets.
Ensuring the region's security remains a priority, as the Army's White Knight Corps reported contact with the suspects following a coordinated intelligence operation. As security personnel maintain their strategic positions, further measures are underway to ensure the area is cleared of any insurgent presence.
