The Indian Supreme Court has denied an appeal by ex-police officer Pradeep Sharma, seeking discharge from charges related to the 2021 Antilia bomb scare and subsequent murder of Mansukh Hiren. Sharma challenged a high court ruling that had earlier dismissed his discharge plea.
Allegations claim Sharma conspired with former police officer Sachin Waze and others, leading to businessman Hiren's death. Legal representatives for Sharma argued his innocence, stating that his association with Waze was misconstrued. However, the Supreme Court maintained the lower court's decision, emphasizing the sufficiency of evidence linking Sharma to the conspiracy.
The National Investigation Agency contends that Sharma played a role in the conspiracy after an explosives-laden vehicle was found near Mukesh Ambani's Mumbai residence. Despite securing bail earlier, Sharma remains embroiled in ongoing legal proceedings related to the high-profile case.
