A tragic incident unfolded on the Ring Road in Delhi's Rajouri Garden when a speeding car fatally struck a 40-year-old pedestrian early Friday morning. Authorities have started a manhunt for Daksh Maurya, the 19-year-old driver allegedly behind the wheel, who resides in northwest Delhi's Shalimar Bagh.

The victim was discovered unconscious near the Marble Market, without any identification, and was pronounced dead at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. The body is currently at the hospital's mortuary while police attempt to identify him and contact his family. The breakthrough in the case came when Gulshan reported a damaged vehicle, later identified as a golden-brown Honda City, abandoned nearby.

Authorities have impounded the vehicle for forensic analysis as efforts to capture the suspect intensify. An FIR has been lodged under sections concerning rash driving and causing death by negligence. Police teams are rigorously examining CCTV footage from the area to piece together the vehicle's course and speed prior to the accident.
