Pakistan is intensifying its diplomatic efforts in the United States by hiring the lobbying firm Ervin Graves Strategy Group. Led by former Congressman Tom Graves, the firm will advance Islamabad's diplomatic, economic, and strategic interests. This comes in the wake of Pakistan's recent mediation role between the US and Iran.
The agreement, which began earlier this month, outlines a two-year collaboration with a monthly fee of $50,000. The firm's tasks include responding to US legislative actions that might affect Pakistan's status as a 'Major non-NATO ally' and monitoring developments in sanctions, human rights, and security assistance impacting Pakistan.
Despite building robust diplomatic ties with the US, concerns remain regarding the persistence of terror groups operating within Pakistan. To counteract these issues, the firm will foster connections with US Congress members, key ministries, media, and think tanks to reinforce Pakistan's strategic importance.
Ervin Graves Strategy Group is also responsible for organizing events and discussions between US and Pakistani officials and coordinating visits for American lawmakers to Pakistan. The goal is to elevate Pakistan's visibility and engagement in US policymaking spheres.
