The security cover assigned to Hanuman Beniwal, Nagaur's Member of Parliament and head of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, has been reduced by the Rajasthan government. This decision comes after his controversial comments concerning Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma sparked a political controversy.
Jaipur Police Commissionerate decided to retract three personal security officers previously guarding Beniwal, limiting his security to personnel from Nagaur district. The BJP criticized Beniwal for his allegedly offensive language directed at the chief minister during a recent protest. Beniwal responded by insisting he never requested the protection provided and accused the government of changing security protocols without transparency.
Beniwal recounted that his security increased during the sub-inspector exam scandal when intelligence personnel organized armed guards from Jaipur and Nagaur. Despite past threats from various crime groups, Beniwal stated that his fight against corruption continues, asserting that the current government cannot deter him by altering his security detail.
