Using a thermocol sheet as a flotation device, they entered the water but sadly became trapped due to heavy silt deposits. A nearby boy, fishing, raised the alarm when he noticed their struggle, but by the time help arrived, it was too late.

Dharwad police and the Fire and Emergency Services swiftly retrieved their bodies, and an investigation is underway. Authorities plan to hold awareness programs to educate families about potential summertime dangers near water bodies.
