Authorities in Gurugram have successfully disrupted an illicit online betting operation in West Delhi, apprehending six individuals believed to be part of a larger cybercrime network. The crackdown followed a raid on an apartment in the Janakpuri area, escalating efforts to curb online fraud.
The police recovered numerous devices and documents, including mobile phones, laptops, and bank-related materials, pivotal to the betting scheme. This operation, involving gaming panels, allegedly scammed users by orchestrating fraudulent online transactions with enticing ads. The key suspects, Nishant and Shoaib, are under a three-day investigative remand to uncover deeper connections.
