In a tragic incident, two teenage boys drowned in the Ramganga river located in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur district. The police indicated that the boys had ventured too far into the deep waters while bathing.

The victims, identified as Sarvagya and Utkarsh, were linked to families employed at a sugar mill in the nearby district of Hardoi. The mishap occurred within the Allahganj police station jurisdiction on Saturday when the boys, accompanied by a friend named Kavya, arrived at the riverbank on their scooter.

While Sarvagya and Utkarsh were bathing, they waded into deep waters, leading to the drowning incident. Kavya promptly alerted local residents and the police. The police, assisted by local divers, launched an overnight search operation, but it was only after the National Disaster Response Force joined in that the bodies were located and retrieved the following morning. Authorities have sent the bodies for autopsy.
