A bagful of live snakes was
recovered from a train after it arrived at Malda Town railway
station Saturday, GRP sources said.
Acting on a tip off, the Government Railway Police
(GRP) personnel carried out a search in a general coach of
Guwahati-Sealdah Kanchanjangha Express
and found a bag that
had no claimant.
It was found that the bag was full of live snakes, the
sources said.
The snakes would be handed over to the forest
department.
