Suspected of illegal ativity 6 drug peddlers arrested in Ghaziabad

Six suspected drug peddlers were arrested in separate incidents here, a senior police official said Tuesday. One person, identified as Harendra, was arrested Monday at 10 pm and police recovered 2.25 kg cannabis from his possession, DIG Upendra Agarwal said. On Saturday night, police intercepted two people and 1.5 kg cannabis was seized from their possession, he said. The two men were identified as Kripanand and Omprakash. Two suspected drug peddlers -- Kuldeep and Gaurav -- were arrested from Loni and 200 alprazolam tablets were seized, the DIG said. In Mustafabad colony, one person was arrested with 600 gram cannabis and one country-made pistol was seized from his possession, Agarwal added.
