Two arrested for murder

With the arrest of two persons, Palghar rural police Thursday claimed to have solved the murder of a 26-year-old man in Chinchoti area of Vasai three months ago. Senior inspector Prakash Birajdar of Waliv police station said the body of Deepak Nepali, who was facing three cases of robbery, was found on October 21 last year by the side of Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway.

Pratap Tyagi, a resident of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, and Ankush Yadav, resident of Vasai in Palghar district, have been arrested in the case, he said. Tyagi, who is Nepali's brother-in-law, allegedly killed him with his friend Yadav's help, the officer said.

The police did not elaborate on the motive for the murder, only saying it had to do with an illicit affair..
