A Delhi-based petrol pump owner, Vinod Tyagi, told ANI: “We got the advisory to remove the banners and hoardings as the Model Code of Conduct is in force. The hoardings have been removed now.”
"All India petroleum dealers association has given an advisory to as many as 62,700 petrol pumps across the country to remove all the PM Modi flex, hoardings and banners from petrol pumps immediately as the model code of conduct has come into force,” said Ajay Bansal, President of All India petroleum dealers’ association. Delhi, which has 7 Lok Sabha seats, will undergo polling on May 12. The main contenders in the fray are Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and BJP.
