Six dead in tragic car accident in Coimbatore

In a tragic accident, six members of a family died after their car plunged into Parambikulam-Aliyar-Project canal in Coimbatore on Wednesday. The incident occurred near Pollachi at 1.30 am. Soon after receiving reports of the incidents, fire and rescue services personnel rushed to the spot and pulled out the car.

All six persons were found dead in the car, police said. The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Pollachi General Hospital. Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
