Indian Coast Guard rescues six crew members of sinking tug boat; 1 still missing

Indian Coast Guard ship on Monday saved the lives of six out of the seven crew members who were on board on a sinking tug boat, Revti. As per an official statement, a distress call was received from Tug Revti on Monday morning after which Indian Coast Guard Ship Amartya, a fast patrol vessel on surveillance mission was diverted to undertake search and rescue mission, immediately.
The vessel was bound for Tarapur from Mumbai. The recovered crew has been provided with necessary first aid and their condition is presently stable. Meanwhile, a sea-air coordinated search operation has been launched to find one missing member of the crew. More details awaited.
