In its continuous drive towards modernisation, Delhi Police on Tuesday inducted a state-of-the-art Mobile Control Room (MCR) with all modern equipment for easier communication in different parts of the national capital. The Mobile Control Room has been fabricated on CNG chassis and is equipped with all necessary wireless nets to provide communication as per the requirement in different parts of Delhi.

"MCR is fitted with latest types of equipment such as integrated communication system (ICS), voice logger, wireless radio operator consoles, CCTV surveillance, UPS, and conference room among others. The interior of the MCR is designed to ensure eco-friendly environment," said the Delhi Police. Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik visited the Delhi Police Communication headquarters at Shalimar Bagh on Tuesday and inspected the functioning of these Mobile Control Rooms in the presence of other senior police officers.

"The Mobile Control Room can be located at a strategic location on short notice to provide flawless communication, where normal communication is not possible," the Delhi Police said. Mobile Control Room plays a very vital role during the important arrangements like Republic Day, Independence Day, VIP/VVIP arrangements at Rajghat, Ramlila Ground, election arrangement, and other emergency requirements.
