Class 10 results of Bihar announced, 80.73 pct students pass Matriculation

The results of the Bihar Matriculation (Class 10) examination were announced on Saturday with 80.73 per cent of the students passing the exam. Sawan Raj Bharti of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui topped the examination securing 486 out of total 500 marks.
Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, R K Mahajan declared the results of the matriculation examination in the presence of BSEB chairman Anand Kishore. Of the 18 students who figured in the merit list of top 10 in matriculation exam this year, 16 belonged to Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui while one each student from West Champaran and Madhubani has found place in top ten.
Talking to the media persons on the occasion, Kishore claimed that "A total of 80.73 per cent candidates have passed the matric examination this year. The pass percentage this year is significantly higher than the 68.89 per cent of the previous year (2018)." The matriculation examination was conducted between February 21 to February 28, 2019 during which 16,35,070 students had appeared at the examination at 1418 examination centres of which 13,20,036 passed the exam. Of the 13,20,036 who passed the examination, 6,83,990 were boys and 6,36,046 girls passed the examination.
