Panic after panther spotted in Jaipur locality

Panic gripped a posh locality in the city after a panther was spotted on Thursday. The movement of the panther was captured in a CCTV camera install in a house at Takhteshahi Road near JLN Marg, police said.

The panther is being traced with the help of drone cameras. A forest official said the panther was last spotted at SMS School.

"The search operation is on," the official added. People in the locality stayed indoor after the animal was spotted.

The panther is believed to have come from the Jhalana forest area, situated nearly 3-4 km away from the locality. Tt is believed that the panther entered the city on Wednesday night.
