Palmolein oil weakens on global cues

  • Country:
  • India

Palmolein oil prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market in the national capital today largely on weak trend overseas.

However, other edible and non-edible oils held steady in thin trade.

Traders attributed the slide in palmolein oil prices to a weak trend overseas.

Meanwhile, palmolein oil for October was trading down by 0.8 percent at 2,195 ringgit (USD 535.10) a tonne on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.

In the national capital, palmolein (RBD) and palmolein (Kandla) oils shed Rs 50 each to Rs 6,600 and Rs 6,650 per quintal, respectively.
