Boy drowns in pond

A 12-year-old boy drowned while taking bath in a pond in Gadwar police station area here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when Ritesh Chaurasiya had gone to a village fair and was taking bath in a pond next to the Tileshwarnath temple, they said.

The boy accidentally ventured towards the deeper end and drowned, they said, adding that the body was recovered.
