Edible oils ease on subdued demand

Groundnut oil and refined palmolein eased at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

Elsewhere, industrial oils also slipped owing to sluggish demand from soaps and shippers industries.

In the edible section, groundnut oil moved down by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 900 from Friday's closing level of Rs 910 and refined palmolein edged down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 670 as against Rs 673.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold slid by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 4,565 as compared Rs 4,580 and castor oil commercial softened by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 943 from Rs 946 yesterday.
