Farmer attempts suicide in Hyderabad

A farmer from Khammam district attempted to commit suicide by consuming pesticide here Friday, police said.

Venkatesh, hailing from Kusumachi village, was reportedly in debt and consumed the pesticide, they said.

He was immediately shifted to Osmania General Hospital where he was undergoing treatment, inspector B Srinivas Rao said.
