Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro Tuesday contributed Rs 1.50 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund towards relief and rehabilitation work in cyclone Gaja affected districts of Tamil Nadu. L&T chief executive officer and managing director S N Subrahmanyan handed over a cheque for the amount to Chief Minister K Palaniswami at the Secretariat, a company statement said.

"Our heavy civil infrastructure business has also been in touch with the fisheries authorities on the ground at Nagapattinam and has been helping them to enable fishermen to retrieve their boats that were swept (away) during the cyclone", he said.
