Odisha rains: Movement of trains affected as water submerges rail tracks

Movement of trains has been halted temporarily on Sambalpur-Titlagarh section since early morning today due to water flowing over the track at many locations after heavy rains in several parts of Odisha. Train services will resume after water level recedes.

IMD had forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Keonjhar, Balangir, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Raygada, Nayagarh and Puri with extremely heavy rainfall in the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Kairdhamal, Rayagada and Kalahandi.
