Biden called House Speaker McCarthy on debt limit, asked to meet -Punchbowl reporter

U.S. President Joe Biden called House Speaker Kevin McCarthy about the nation's debt ceiling and asked that they meet, a reporter for Punchbowl News said on Twitter.

Separately, a reporter for the Washington Post, also posting on Twitter, said Biden had called all four of Congress' top leaders to invite them to a meeting at the White House on May 9.
