White House praises U.S. Supreme Court ruling on elections

The White House on Tuesday praised a U.S. Supreme Court decision rejecting a legal theory handing power to state legislatures over elections as a "critical" move for voting rights.

White House spokesperson Olivia Dalton said the "extreme" legal theory would have let politicians undermine the will of the people.
