Galymzhan Pirmatov, the governor of Kazakhstan's central bank, left his post on Monday, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's office said.

It did not say who would replace Pirmatov as governor, a position he had held since February 2022. A new appointee will need to be approved by the upper house of parliament which has scheduled a meeting on Monday.
