Hong Kong leader received APEC meeting invite

Hong Kong leader John Lee had personally received an invitation from the United States to the APEC meeting on Nov. 15-17 in San Francisco, the government said in a statement on Wednesday responding to media inquiries.

Financial Secretary Paul Chan will attend the meeting on behalf of Lee, who would not be able to attend due to "scheduling issues", it added.
