Zambia's Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili, who has granted a K30, 000 bail after pleading not guilty to one count of unlawful assembly, has assured the common people that he won't stop bringing out the problems and difficulties they are all enduring every day. He has also appealed to the Government of China 'to check what he called corrupt activities of AVIC in Zambia.'

Zambia's National Assembly member, Chishimba Kambwili was brought to the court at 9 am but was taken back to the cells with his case rescheduled for 2 pm.

After being released, the 49-year old Kambwili promised that "he would continue to hold this government accountable for all its ills of extravagance, thefts, the sale of national assets, undemocratic tendencies, negative foreign influence peddling and the wanton destruction and looting of our national treasury by President Edgar Lungu and his friends," as reported by Lusaka Times.

He has also suggested the Chinese government not be caught up into another diplomatic embarrassment like it happened when late President Michael Sata formed a government.

"Yes, you are not supposed to interfere in our country's politics but surely for the sake of our future bilateral relations as longtime global allies, check the corrupt activities and unpatriotic manoeuvres of Chinese corporations like AVIC before it's too late because this regime is gone, the Zambia people have already made up their minds," Kambwili added.
